Preparing for Birth & Baby

Workshop

A calm and supportive one-day workshop combining midwife-led antenatal education with pregnancy yoga, movement, breathwork and relaxation.

Created to offer realistic preparation, practical tools and a supportive space before birth, this workshop is designed to help you feel more informed, confident and prepared as you approach labour, birth and the early postpartum period.

Throughout the day, antenatal education with Helen, the registered midwife behind Midwife For You, will be combined with gentle pregnancy yoga, movement, breathwork and relaxation guided by Aoife Fingleton from @aoife_yoga.

Aoife has practised yoga for over 25 years and has been teaching locally for the past 10 years. She completed her pregnancy yoga training with The Elbowroom in Dublin and practised yoga throughout her own pregnancy, finding it a valuable physical and emotional support in preparation for labour, birth and postpartum recovery.

Together, Helen and Aoife will provide evidence-informed education, gentle movement and practical tools to help you feel supported, empowered and calm as you prepare for birth and baby.

The day will include a relaxed combination of discussion, practical learning, gentle pregnancy yoga, movement and opportunities to ask questions.

This workshop is suitable from 12 weeks of pregnancy onwards, and no previous yoga experience is necessary.

Places are intentionally limited to a maximum of six pregnant women, allowing space for questions, discussion and individual support in a warm, small-group environment. This workshop is designed for the pregnant person attending independently and does not include a birth-partner place.
